Tatsuta hime

"Tatsuta hime" represents one of his most popular works in our collection. "Tatsuta hime" stands wearing a gorgeous red kimono and represents the beauty of a woman with an elegant expression. She is Yumeji’s ideal woman and one of his greatest masterpieces. Yumeji is quoted as talking about "Tatsuta hime": 'She is the perfect woman of my life. She is Miss Nippon!' The posture of an autumn goddess controlling a good harvest is daringly deformed, posed in the S-style which established a characteristic of Yumeji's "Bijin-ga".
